The Cosmic Islands: fly from the Moon to five little planets

The Star Portal on the Moon: a stone ring full of swirling stars, with the Earth in the sky

There is something new on the Moon. A Star Portal now stands near where the rocket lands, and it opens a map of five little planets. Each one is a whole tiny world that you can run all the way around, over the top and under the bottom, with no loading in between.

How to get to the planets

  1. In town, walk to the toy rocket on the north-west beach and press the action button. It flies you to the Moon.
  2. On the Moon, find the Star Portal: a stone ring with swirling stars inside and little planets going round it, just north of the rocket. Walk up to it and press the action button to open the star map.
  3. Tap Starberry Planet, the only one open at first. You fly through the portal and land on a pad on top of the planet.
  4. To come back, step into the little portal by the landing pad, or press the home button anywhere on the planet.

Every planet you have opened also shows up with the trips in the Game Box, so next time you can fly straight there.

How to open the next planet

Every planet has 20 star fragments to find and a telescope. Once you have found 10 fragments on a planet, the door to its telescope opens. Look through it and you spot the next planet, which then opens on the star map. The order is Starberry Planet, Candy Comet, Frostfluff Moon, Bloomheart and Starlight Ruins. The old telescope on Starlight Ruins, the last one, shows all five.

What you can do on every planet

Everything pays coins and XP the first time, and each planet's fetch quest also gives a special outfit color. Nothing can be lost, and nothing on the planets is for sale.

The five planets

Starberry Planet

Landing on top of Starberry Planet, by its portal, with cottages and flowers around

The first planet, with meadows, starberry bushes and a camp with a fire on top. On one side is Crystal Hollow, full of glowing crystals and a hidden room. On the other are the Cloudfall Gardens, with waterfalls, floating stepping stones and the observatory. At the bottom the sky turns to dusk in Twilight Grove, where four lanterns make the Glow Tree bloom. Bramble the hedgehog is baking a starberry pie, and she needs one thing from each side of the planet.

Candy Comet

Candy Comet: a giant three-layer cake on pink frosting, with cupcake cottages

A smaller, sweeter planet. Hop up a giant three-layer cake to light its five candles, bounce across jelly hills that throw you high, and hop the taffy bells' tune to open a hidden garden. Mallow the marshmallow wants a sundae, and Fizz the soda sprite runs a lap and a hop course.

Frostfluff Moon

Frostfluff Moon: snowy pines and ice under green northern lights in Aurora Hollow

Snow falls all over this one. Slide across the Glacier Rink, run through a tunnel right through the Glacier, and light the Ice Lanterns in Aurora Hollow, where it is always night under the northern lights. Bundle the polar bear cub makes cocoa if you bring what it needs, and a frozen snow puff in the Ice Cave thaws into Flurry, who follows you.

Bloomheart

Bloomheart: the landing pad among giant flowers, pink trees and a beehive

A garden planet. Climb the Sunflower Tower, a stair of giant flower heads, open the Rose Garden and the Pond Garden, and wake five sleeping buds to open the great Moon Bloom. Five little pals hide around the planet and follow you once you find them. Tansy the tortoise needs a dewdrop, honey and a sunseed for her garden.

Starlight Ruins

Starlight Ruins at dusk: the Great Bell in Moonbell Hollow, with glowing trees

The last and trickiest planet, still with no way to fail. Turn lens stones to lead a beam of light into the sun's eye and wake Cogling, a little clockwork star-bot. Flip runes to raise a bridge of light, ring the Moonbells, and help Quill the owl find the three lost parts of his spyglass. Gold rings circle the whole planet in the sky.

Playing together

When a grown-up has turned on online play, friends on the same planet see each other and can solve its puzzles together, each doing a part. Online play stays off until a grown-up turns it on, and every planet plays just the same on your own.

Each planet is also home to a shy Wildling. Meet all of them in Meet the Wildlings.
